Sustainability and ESG

Practical ESG strategies, environmental and social assessments, disclosure and reporting, management systems, and capacity building, designed to meet both local realities and international standards.

Positioning

Turning sustainability into practical systems

Our Sustainability and ESG division supports organisations to understand, manage, and communicate their environmental and social performance in a way that is both credible and workable. We combine deep knowledge of Palestinian regulation and institutions with familiarity with international frameworks such as IFI safeguard policies, the World Bank ESF, IFC Performance Standards, and good practice ESG benchmarks.

The focus is always on solutions that our clients can actually implement with the capacities and constraints they have.

What this includes5
  • Corporate, fund, or programme-level ESG and sustainability strategy design.
  • Materiality assessment and priority-setting grounded in stakeholder insights.
  • ESG integration into investment, project, and operational cycles.
  • Practical roadmaps with phased actions, ownership, timelines, and realistic budgets.
  • Target operating models for implementation, including roles, governance, and internal coordination.
02

ESG Disclosure, Reporting, and Investor Communication

We help clients communicate their ESG performance with clarity and credibility, without overclaiming or greenwashing. Our approach turns data and internal practice into investor-ready reporting that is aligned with the expectations of DFIs, lenders, regulators, and stakeholders, and that can be maintained year after year.

What this includes7
  • ESG, sustainability, and impact reporting, standalone or integrated within annual reports.
  • Investor and lender-facing ESG narratives and communications packs.
  • Alignment support with selected frameworks and requirements, for example GRI, SASB and ISSB, World Bank ESF, IFC Performance Standards, and DFI ESG expectations.
  • Definition of KPIs and impact indicators that are meaningful, trackable, and decision-useful.
  • Double Materiality Assessments, emissions scoping, and ESG pillars and parameters assessment.
  • Development of dashboards, reporting templates, and internal reporting routines.
  • Light-touch assurance readiness support, including evidence files and data governance basics.
03

Environmental and Social Assessments, Due Diligence, and Audits

With over 30 studies completed, Envision Solutions delivers rigorous environmental and social assessments that meet national licensing requirements and international standards, while staying practical for implementation on the ground. From early screening to full due diligence and independent audits, we help clients identify risks early, manage them credibly, and move forward with confidence.

What this includes5
  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Initial Environmental Examinations, ESMPs, and site specific management plans.
  • Environmental and social due diligence for investments, facilities, and programmes, including gap analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Environmental and Social Audits and compliance reviews, independent or lender-driven.
  • Thematic assessments such as Social Impact Assessment, labor and working conditions reviews, SEA and SH risk assessments, stakeholder engagement analysis, and community health and safety reviews.
04

Capacity Building, Training, and Coaching

With trainings, coaching, hackathons, bootcamps, and capacity building programmes successfully delivered by our team over the past four years, we help organizations and entrepreneurs build the skills and confidence needed to perform, comply, and grow. We work across startups, MSMEs, corporates, NGOs, and public institutions, tailoring every programme to the audience, sector, and real constraints on the ground.

What this includes6
  • ESG and environmental and social trainings aligned with the World Bank ESF, IFC Performance Standards, and good international industry practice.
  • Practical modules on stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, labor and working conditions, occupational health and safety, SEA and SH risk mitigation, and impact management.
  • Capacity building for public and private sector teams, ESMS implementation, and compliance readiness.
  • Startup and MSME programmes including bootcamps, hackathons, mentoring, and coaching on green business development, cleantech, agritech, circular economy, resource efficiency, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Coaching for ESG focal points, project teams, and investment officers to support day-to-day decision making and implementation.
  • Field-based support during early stages of new systems or projects, including site visits, joint supervision missions, and hands-on troubleshooting.
05

Research, Policy, and Thematic Studies

We deliver decision-ready research that helps clients move from questions and assumptions to clear priorities, practical recommendations, and implementable programmes. Our work is grounded in local realities, supported by data, stakeholder engagement, and strong analytical methods, and aligned with international good practice.

What this includes6
  • Sector diagnostics and thematic assessments across environment, climate resilience, WASH and water policy, public health linkages, and green and circular economy.
  • Policy and strategy-oriented research that translates evidence into actionable options, reform pathways, and programme design inputs.
  • Community and area-based environmental studies using participatory approaches and field tools to define priorities and support planning and advocacy.
  • Market, value chain, and ecosystem studies that inform investments and private sector support, including opportunities mapping for MSMEs and startups.
  • Skills and capacity needs assessments, including green and sustainable skills diagnostics and sector-oriented research.
  • Practical knowledge products such as frameworks, guidance notes, and toolkits that partners can directly apply in implementation.
06

Environmental Licensing and Permitting

Many projects fail or stall because licensing is treated as paperwork instead of a process that needs strong technical grounding and early coordination. We support clients to secure environmental approvals efficiently and credibly by linking permitting requirements directly to the assessment work, mitigation planning, and on-the-ground implementation realities.

What this includes5
  • Permitting and licensing support, including technical inputs aligned with EQA, Ministries of Environment, and relevant authorities.
  • Preparation and submission support for environmental licensing packages, including the environmental approval application and subsequent required studies.
  • Coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders to address comments and close review loops.
  • Translation of permit conditions into practical ESMP measures, monitoring requirements, and responsibilities.
  • Compliance planning to support inspections, reporting, and ongoing regulatory follow-up.
07

Environmental and Social Management Systems and Toolkits

Strong ESG performance is not built through one-off studies. It requires the right internal systems, policies, and practical tools that teams can use consistently, even under real-world capacity constraints. We help organizations design and strengthen fit-for-purpose ESMS and ESG toolkits that turn requirements into day-to-day practice.

What this includes6
  • Design or strengthening of ESMS and ESG policies for funds, financial institutions, corporates, NGOs, and public entities.
  • Risk screening, categorization, and due diligence tools integrated into investment and project cycles.
  • Practical procedures and guidance notes, including roles, responsibilities, and approval workflows.
  • Grievance mechanisms for communities and workers, including referral pathways when relevant.
  • Monitoring templates, checklists, corrective action tracking tools, and reporting formats.
  • Implementation support to pilot, refine, and operationalize systems across teams and partners.
08

Environmental and Social Monitoring and Evaluation

We help clients move from one-off assessments to ongoing performance management. By setting up clear indicators, practical tools, and realistic reporting routines, we enable teams to track compliance, manage risks, and demonstrate results to investors, donors, and regulators over time.

What this includes6
  • Design of environmental, social and ESG monitoring frameworks, indicators, and reporting cycles aligned with project and investor requirements.
  • Monitoring plans and tools for site supervision, compliance checks, and corrective action tracking.
  • Periodic monitoring missions, spot checks, and implementation support visits, with clear findings and follow-up actions.
  • Independent environmental and social performance reviews and audits for funds, programmes, and facilities.
  • Support to strengthen data collection, evidence files, and internal reporting routines for consistent reporting.
  • Integration of stakeholder feedback and grievance data into monitoring and adaptive management.
09

Spatial Analysis, GIS Modeling, Urban Planning, and Design

Many environmental, social, and development decisions are spatial. We use GIS, mapping, and planning tools to bring clarity to complex geographies, support better siting and design decisions, and communicate risks and opportunities in a way that decision makers and communities can understand.

What this includes6
  • GIS-based mapping of environmental and social risks, assets, and sensitivities.
  • Spatial analysis to inform project siting, routing, land use decisions, and feasibility assessments.
  • GIS modeling and scenario analysis to support resilience planning and evidence-based prioritization.
  • Inputs to site planning, urban planning, and territorial development processes from an environmental, social, climate, and inclusion perspective.
  • Visualization products for decision makers and stakeholders, including maps, dashboards, and clear spatial narratives.
  • Support for integrating spatial findings into assessments, permitting, ESMPs, and monitoring frameworks.
10

Social Development, Inclusion, and Gender

Strong projects are built on a clear understanding of people, power, and local dynamics. We support clients to design and implement interventions that are inclusive, conflict-sensitive, and grounded in meaningful engagement, with a practical focus on vulnerable groups, gender equality, and social cohesion.

What this includes6
  • Stakeholder mapping and analysis for complex projects, portfolios, and sensitive operating environments.
  • Social impact assessments with a focus on inclusion, vulnerability, access, and local dynamics.
  • Gender assessments and practical integration of gender considerations into project design, delivery, and monitoring.
  • Design and facilitation of stakeholder engagement processes and consultations, including accessible methods and feedback loops.
  • Grievance mechanisms and referral pathways, including SEA and SH-sensitive approaches when relevant.
  • Support to strengthen community-facing communications and trust-building approaches.

Envision Community

Envision Community is our way of staying connected to the people and organisations we work with, long after a training, project, or programme has ended.

It started from a simple observation: many entrepreneurs, youth, and professionals receive good capacity building, but once a project finishes, they lose access to information, networks, and follow up support. We decided to change that for the people we touch.
