COP30 was framed by its Presidency as the "implementation COP", a moment to move beyond negotiations and toward delivery. After years of setting targets and frameworks, discussions in Belém focused on the tools, finance, and partnerships needed to turn climate ambition into action.
As a Palestinian consultancy with a dedicated sustainability division, we were invited to participate in the Climate Sector Working Group and engage directly with other development partners. These discussions, alongside post-COP working group sessions and direct engagement with the leadership of the Environment Quality Authority (EQA), highlighted both the scale of the challenge facing Palestine and the practical opportunities beginning to emerge within the global climate architecture.
